Was charged a ridiculous amount of money to do our taxes, had David do the initial consult for 1.5 hours and two associates then charged us to ask the same questions AGAIN. Next thing you know we get a bill and fines from the IRS because the tax return amount we were told to pay by Gillian’s & Associates was incorrect!! Called them and was told basically “Oops, guess you need to pay another $4K”. No explanation about their error, offer to review the tax return they did, or an apology.

Wanted to charge a fee for an initial consultation to see if we would even be able to work together, which is not only unheard of but seems very unprofessional. I declined the consultation, as I've never dealt with a CPA firm that wants money in advance before you are even a client of theirs.

Extremely reliable, knowledgeable, and will go that extra step to help. I have been working with Gilliland & Associates for over 5 years and have always been very satisfied. About 6 months that satisfaction went to a new level. My wife and I were closing on a new home and last minute tax requests were required by the lender to move forward (as a 1099 self employed financial adviser with commission income this wasn’t the easiest process). Long story short, I needed some immediate help to close on the home which was set for later that week. Dan (president of Gilliland & Associates) went out of his way to help and make sure I had what was needed. We closed on our new home, on time, thanks to Dan’s help. I am very thankful to Gilliland & Associates and would highly recommend them.
