Advisor is good, but this year it wasn't possible to watch the screen as entries were typed. Was told by boss that they are "working diligently" to correct this. If not fixed by next year, I'll go elsewhere.

Ms. Shakula has minimized the unpleasant task of preparing taxes about as much as could be reasonably expected, managing to reduce my federal payment by withholding some capital gains until 2022 to save me several thousand dollars. I had a phone appointment with an accountant from Block Advisors to talk about filing my taxes as I started my new small business. He gave me his personal cell phone after I missed his call by like 10 seconds and I called him to chat with him about my tax situation. Guy was not particularly communicative, but I tried to be active with my questions and my needs. He quoted me $500 and we spoke for about 20 minutes. I told him I need a day or two to think about it and then I will call back. All of a sudden, he asked: "Who are you going to call?" I was completely confused by that question. I said: "What do you mean?" to ask him to explain. He asked me if I was going to call him or the Rockville office number. I was completely confused, because I thought he's a part of Block Advisors/H&R Block and now I have his personal number I can call him directly if I wanted to work with him. I don't know what is the difference. All he had to say was "Please feel free to call me at XXXXXXXXXX number." Why is he even asking this and it completely took me off-guard because it came off as completely disrespectful. No apologies about how he shouldn't have communicated and just said: " I guess you will find someone else then." Super arrogant. I had high hopes for Block Advisors especially with all the good reviews, but good thing I have time to find a new accountant now because I started early.
