Poor service, unknowledgeable "tax pro", and nearly doubled in price in the course of 1 year. I have been a loyal customer for the past several years but this year was such a poor experience I will never use H&R Block again

Have been going to HR Block for over ten years and have always had a good experience. This was my first time at this office. At the end of my appointment I asked the advisor if he had my bank account and routing number for direct deposit of my refund as it is the same as previous year returns, he indicated yes. When I got home I reviewed the return and realized he had not completed the direct deposit portion of the return. In my attempt to communicate with him he indicated that there was nothing he could do since the returns were already filed, no apology or explanation for such a significant mistake. After completing a survey of my experience, I was contacted by an HR Block "Client Retention Specialist", she opened a case on my complaint and told me I would hear from HR Block within 5 business days. Now on day six and I have heard nothing, so I called and was told they would send a reminder to the Tier 2 team, and I would be contacted within 24-48 hours. I would not recommend going to this HR Block office.

Terrible experience coming in for an appointment with Luis today. He arrived over 10 minutes late to my appointment and didn't acknowledge his tardiness when he finally arrived to the office. I'd mentioned in my notes that I wanted help with an issue regarding the federal that was being withheld from my part-time job. As I sat down, he just kept saying all of my documents looked fine and there weren't any problems. After repeatedly failing to answer my questions, he just insisted I needed to talk to my employer and that there was nothing he could do. When I asked for advice on what I should ask my employers to change on my withholding, he didn't have an answer. Extremely frustrated and realizing that he wasn't going to be able to give me any more information than I'd have just doing my taxes online, I ended the appointment early. I'm not sure what the point of speaking with a tax adviser is if they are categorically unable to provide even the most basic tax advice.

I would have checked (5) but I always consider the price charged to complete the tax forms. Mr. Jones, on the other hand was great. Has always been helpful. And I realize he does not set the prices but I start thinking can I do better at another company.

Lillian's help was excellent. She took her time with me and took care to make sure I had all my forms entered correctly. She included things I hadn't considered and I'm glad she was patient and kind. Thank you Li.
